Southern Maryland’s Veterinary Services – Delivered with Courtesy and Respect

A Warm Welcome

When you arrive for your appointment, our receptionist will greet you warmly and check you in — announcing your pet’s arrival with a smile (e.g., “Shadow is here for his appointment!”). A veterinary technician will soon come to weigh your pet and escort you to an examination room.

Initial Consultation

The veterinary technician will begin by asking about your pet’s medical history, current condition, and the reason for your visit. This information helps us prepare the doctor for your pet’s exam and ensures we understand the full picture.

Doctor Examination & Diagnostics

Your veterinarian will examine your pet, ask follow-up questions, and may recommend diagnostic testing if needed. Most tests can be performed in-house, so results are often available the same day.

The doctor will review any findings with you and discuss a potential diagnosis or treatment plan, if applicable.

Time to Ask Questions

We encourage you to ask questions at any point during your visit. Our veterinary team is here to help you feel informed, comfortable, and confident in your pet’s care.

After-Visit Instructions & Follow-Up

Before you leave, a veterinary technician will return to review your discharge notes and provide helpful guidance for your pet’s care at home. They’ll answer any remaining wellness or treatment questions you may have.

Our reception team will then assist with payment and help schedule any necessary follow-up visits.

We Can’t Wait to Meet You

We’re honored you chose us to care for your furry family member — and we’re looking forward to building a lasting relationship centered on trust, compassion, and exceptional care.
