Dr. Spruill grew up in a suburb of Tokyo with lots of little creatures and furry and feathery friends. She left Tokyo and came to the United States when she was 17. After graduating from West Virginia University with a BS degree in Pre-Veterinary Sciences, she went on to Iowa State University and obtained a PhD degree in Animal Science. Even through her productive years as a researcher in medical sciences, she never took her eyes off her dream to become a veterinarian.
She obtained her veterinary degree from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006, and has worked at several hospitals around DC before joining CCVH. She has been a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners, and Greater Baltimore Veterinary Medical Association. Her passion includes feline medicine, senior/geriatric medicine, and client education. She is happily married to a perfect husband, and they currently live with three feline children, “Thor,” “Mocha,” and “Sherman.” In her spare time, she enjoys a variety of hobbies and activities including jogging,hiking, traveling, cooking, astronomy, photography, music, and spending time with her husband, family, and friends.
