Dr. Melanie Donis, DVM
An animal lover and rescuer from the start, Dr. Donis grew up in Orlando, Florida and received her veterinary degree from the University of Florida in 1997. She then attended a one-year feline and canine internship at South Shore Animal Hospital in South Weymouth, Mass. There she focused on advancing her diagnostic and surgical skills while surrounded by a team of veterinary specialists. She moved to Southern Maryland in 1998 to work at St. Mary’s Veterinary Hospital until joining Companion Care Veterinary Hospital in February of 2009. At the hospital she takes a special interest in dentistry, and senior care. After hours she enjoys spending time with family which consists of her husband, son, daughter, 2 horses, 3 dogs, 2 cats, and fish! During nice weekends she can be found on the soccer fields with her son or riding horses with her daughter.
